Gundam Wing Silver Anniversary: Swag And Gunpla

Gundam Wing has had all sorts of merchandise over the years. North America had a ridiculous amount of licensed stuff along with an attempt to get Gunpla to the masses. Did you have any interesting Wing merch? How about Gunpla?

What merch do you wish you had, whether it exists or not? Or if you enjoy Gunpla, what kit?

I had Deathscythe and Deathscythe Hell as a teenager, but my little cousin (who was really little, like 3 or 4 at the time) thought they were toys and they weren't. My grandmother never respected my things and she gave them to him to play with, and he broke them. I mean, broke them to where there was no point in even trying to put them back together. I've been turned off of Gunpla ever since, although I do wish I had a Wing Zero Custom model....I just don't want to assemble it myself.

I have....three artbooks, the fancy re-released Blu-Ray Gundam Wing set (which came with a huge artbook), the boxed character figurine set, a pre-assembled Gundam Epyon and a tiny battle-damaged Wing Zero Custom. Oh, I also have the fancy Heero figure....the one that goes with the fancy Relena figure. I couldn't swing them both, so Heero has to brood by himself. Sorry Relena. I didn't pay the price in that link, though, I got it when it first came out so it was like $150 or so.

Gunpla stability has, at least, improved immensely in the last few decades (I've done recent gunpla, though Wing is conspicuously absent minus a kit or so) -- they aren't nearly as flimsy as the kits from the 90s. Thanks be to the gods.

So if you ever picked it up again after all, there's that at least?

I never did go for a lot of swag, but I have the old and the newer digest-form mechanical guides and a couple of artbooks. And a pile of doujinshi with more trickling in every once in a while, lol.

I did get a bunch of those toy suits with the interchangeable parts! They're still around here somewhere ~ And a few of the older gunpla, but I didn't like them as much because they were fragile. I need to buckle down and get some of the more recent and detailed kits but opportunity and the exchange rate kick my arse and I funneled my funds into Glory and FT.

If I had the money to burn, though, omfg -- I want Wing Gundam Snow White Prototype SO BAD, yo --

I have pencil board with Trowa and Quatre where Quatre is holding a puppy that is my favorite.
